We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance & Country Manager to lead our operations in the United Kingdom. As the Finance & Country Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our business in the UK including operations, finance, human resources, and legal compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a subsidiary or business unit, with a focus on driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence.

The Finance & Country Manager leads the local UK team (20 people today) and contributes to develop the F2M’s activities.

The Finance & Country Manager will be responsible for the local administration of operations and management of the local team. As a first step he will also have the direct responsibility of managing local accounting, legal and HR needs, in close contacts with central functional teams.

Main missions:

The Finance & Country Manager will be responsible for all functional services. In association with the expertises of the HQ in Paris, he will oversee the financial, administrative and legal, and HR management of the entity to ensure the success of the organization and profitability in compliance with local regulations.

Main missions:

  • Work with HQ experts to efficiently develop budget proposals, report finance and accounting information, and ensure contract/grant compliance and reporting
  • Coordinate development of annual operating, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same
  • Comply and taking appropriate action with national and local financial and legal requirements
  • Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization
  • Take responsibility (either directly or via staff) for all cash management, expenses, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the company’s financial strategy and hiring needs
  • Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows
  • Alert with risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments
  • Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities and HQ
  • Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement
  • Oversee HR daily operations by coordinating with our HQ in Paris (ex: payroll, benefits, recruitment) and with the business or activities line managers
  • Manage the day to day operation for the UK subsidiary

Expected skills:

πŸ”§ Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business management or finance
πŸ”§ At least 10 years in managing a small subsidiaries in the UK
πŸ”§ Executive experience with SaaS business models
πŸ”§ Finance background
πŸ”§ Professional certification (ex: ACCA, CIMA...)
πŸ”§ Native english
πŸ”§ Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
πŸ”§ Proven managerial skills
πŸ”§ Initiative-taking and problem-solving, hands-on and pragmatic sense
