Overview of the Role

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our Discovery (Search & Maps) team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for gaps in consumer product offerings and an innovative mindset for filling them. This person will become an expert in the mobility industry and serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on product features and functionality for internal and external customers. They will also guide a cross-functional team in the creation of products that improve customer experience and grow market share across the globe.

As the Product Manager for Discovery, you will enhance the way millions of drivers understand the parking and charging options available in busy cities through our search and map experiences. You will also optimize the discoverability of the inventory of thousands of operators who sell parking and charging on our platform. In this role, you will partner with leaders across the business while working closely inside the team with design, research, engineering, and data analysts.

Objectives of the Role

  • Develop product strategy, roadmap, and priorities leveraging data and input from internal and external stakeholders, user and market research, competitive analysis, product analytics, and your own expertise and experience

  • Leverage data and experimentation to test hypotheses and uncover new opportunities; develop business cases to assess ROI on opportunities and advocate for investment in new areas

  • Function as Agile Product Owner, leading a cross-functional squad to define, prioritize, and execute features and feature enhancements in your product roadmap

  • Partner with squad members to write user stories, specifying requirements and acceptance criteria using the BDD method with detail and clarity sufficient for implementation and testing

  • Partner with Product Analyst to develop KPIs, benchmarks, and reports to evaluate the performance of new products, features, and feature enhancements

  • Work closely with Product Design to create a compelling user experience that delivers on the business and functional requirements

  • Within your squad, communicate the product vision, clarify use cases and requirements, resolve issues arising during development, articulate trade-offs, and accept stories as they are completed; collaborate across squads to identify and manage risks and dependencies

  • Collaborate with other functions (marketing, business development, sales, operations, customer services, and professional services) in the product positioning, go-to-market strategies, and pre and post-sales activities related to the product needed to successfully sell, implement and service the product

  • Serve as an internal and external evangelist for ParkMobile and EasyPark Group

  • Drive the product- and business-planning processes for cross-functional teams

  • Analyze customer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships from an ROI and build-vs.-buy perspective

  • Assess current competitor offerings and seek opportunities for differentiation

  • Analyze product requirements and develop appropriate programs to ensure they’re met

  • Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments

  • Appraise new product ideas and strategize appropriate go-to-market plans

Your Experience

  • BA/BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience

  • 3+ years of experience working as a Product Manager in an agile software development environment

  • 2+ years experience working in an Agile software development environment

  • Experience using product analytics and data visualization tools like MixPanel and Looker

  • Experience conducting experiments, customer interviews, surveys, and other user research to assess product-market fit and evaluate product opportunities

  • Experience authoring product requirements documents

  • Experience working in JIRA or similar project management tools

  • Experience working within the OKR (Objectives and Key Results) goal management framework

  • Strong stakeholder management, presentation, and public speaking skills

  • Bonus: Marketplace or e-commerce product management experience

  • Bonus: Experience working with maps platforms (Mapbox, Google, Apple)
